A friend recently told me that it was important to keep my thoughts above what was happening in my life. Think about what is above and you will feel a lot better. Well as I looked out my patio door and saw the amazing view of the entire city of Cortland under a blanket of fog it dawned on me that I was above the fog today. I began to think that the view I had today is what God sees often. He sees clearly when the world is in a fog. He is always “above the fog.”
The fog in our lives can be many things good and bad it can be things that just make life so busy that we can’t take time to see God’s plan. It can be heartbreak and sadness that threaten to drown us. Often the fog in our lives is so thick, taking the next step is overwhelming. We can’t see what is ahead of us. God however can see the edges of the fog, he can see the sunrise around the fog, he can see where we are headed, and he goes before us.
I just want to remind everyone today to stay above the fog. It is often the foggiest morning that leads to the most beautiful day!!!
