Today’s verse: Matthew 11:30 Come unto me all who are burdened and heavy laden and I will give you rest…., for my yoke is easy and my burden light.

Having heard this verse many times in my life- even seen it on signs I am not sure I stopped to think about it until now. Jesus isn’t another demand or list of requirements – he is our savior and friend. He is gentle at heart and knows sometimes rest is our biggest need. He really designed ”self care” before the world began to sell it. There is no sin or shame in stepping back to rest.

Rest today knowing that with Jesus as your savior you can rest in his gentle care.
